  • Counsel to Texas bank providing $13,566,000 acquisition and construction loan to Dallas-based development company (Feb. 2008)
  • Acquisition of retail shopping center in Houston, Texas on behalf of Los Angeles-based investor; subsequent pad site sale contracts.  (Feb 2007; Sept 2008)
  • Represented hard-money lender in real estate secured loan on property in San Antonio, Texas, and subsequent collection efforts after borrower default, posting property for foreclosure, and acquiring title to property through deed-in-lieu transaction (Jan 2007; June 2008)
  • Represented developer in negotiation of development agreement with local municipality in connection with public/private development project (June 2006)
  • Numerous instances of serving as counsel to out-of-state parties transacting business in Texas, as local counsel to client’s non-Texas counsel, but typically as client’s sole legal counsel.
